random blog #7

first off, i hit 80 tumblr followers! that’s awesome! :)

okay, so i was thinking about this in the car and since this is a ‘random blog’ i decided i’d share with you some thoughts i had. in a lot of songs you hear people mentioning about being (sixteen or)seventeen and how it was either the best or worst time of their life. i’ve been 17 for almost 5 month’s and to be honest, so far it’s been the best time of my life.

last year at 16 i put together my sweet 16 in a month, went to my first concert, went to other sweet 16’s with my friends, went to the city to Good Morning America -standing in the rain for 6 hours to see the jonas brothers-, helped put together a benefit show -managing to raise $2000 with the help of a clever con, floral terrace, out of the blue, and the bay state; and within that year i also saw(met = *): ace enders*,school boy humor*, the dangerous summer, person l, cash cash*, all night dynamite*, for the foxes*, stereo skyline*, jonas brothers, demi lovato, jordin sparks, honor society*, jessie james, great big planes*, the ready set*, the bigger lights*, anarbor*, and the friday night boys*.

within the past 5 months of being 17 there have been good and bad things.bad things being, -one of my close friends forgot my birthday. -and i ended my friendship with 2 people

good things being, -i learned who my true friends are. -i saw stay*, off city limits*, the all ways(twice)*, under spinning lights*, ian walsh*, sparks the rescue*, the morning of*, stereo skyline(another 3 times)*, artist vs poet*, cartel*, all night dynamite* & cash cash(again)*, the blue pages. -went to Good Morning America again to see the jonas brothers and demi lovato(standing about 10 feet away). -went to DC which was absolutely beautiful -went to the bamboozle roadshow seeing cady groves, vita chambers, great big planes & the ready set(again), mercy mercedes, forever the sickest kids, simple plan(and also stood about 10 feet from pierre <3 ), good charlotte, boys like girls, third eye blind, and lmfao. in all honesty, being 16 and 17 may just be the best years of my life(so far).

now, this wasn’t meant to brag about how many bands i’ve seen. i didn’t exactly have a point behind this. it was just random thoughts rummaging in my head. but it was more of me showing how much i love music. i go to a show a month and absolutely love being able to stand in the crowd with my friends, singing my heart out to those bands and then having the opportunity to meet them afterward. i even made bracelets for all of Artist Vs Poet and if you look here you can clearly see that Tarcy is still wearing his (the purple one on his right wrist). and Jason is still wearing his as well(the first one on his left wrist). this makes me even more ecstatic. musicians are the most amazing people i think i’ve ever met.

i guess this ‘random blog’ is more of an explanation as to why i started this promo page. if you’re a musician and you’re trying to get your music out there, i want to help you. i help run about 10 different street teams. i don’t care that it’s a lot, even though it can be a lot to handle and hard to manage them all on my own. but i love to help musicians because they’re so dedicated and are extremely ambitious. it’s inspiring and all i want to do is help show that to other people.

so if i have yet to mention your band, feel free to send me a link to your page or some songs and i’ll be more than happy to check it out, promote, and even do an interview if you want. if you would like to do this, please email [email protected] or IM LoserfaceLucy

i’ve mentioned this plenty of times; i.love.friends. so talk to me and show me how truly awesome you can be.

~Luce.

ps, i’m sorry if this blog made no sense whatsoever. i didn’t exactly plan on what i was writing. i just went with it. oh well. :)
