Show Review:: Cute Is What We Aim For and the Dangerous Summer 6/7/13
This past Friday night, the “PureVolume Presents” tour kicked-off at The Studio @ Webster Hall in New York City, featuring Cute Is What We Aim For supported by friends The Dangerous Summer and up-and-coming Buffalo, NY band, Made Violent. To say the least, these boys presented nothing short of a good time and despite the stormy weather that ensued due to tropical storm Andrea, the devoted fans of these bands braved the rain and came out to what ended up being a sold-out show. There was even a line already forming down the block an hour before show time.

UPDATE:
The Early November(@theearlynov)’s second reunion show was originally set to have Hit The Lights, The Dangerous Summer, and Young Statues open. However, since The Dangerous Summer has dropped off the show, it’s been confirmed that A Great Big Pile of Leaves will be replacing them.
UPDATE:
The Dangerous Summer(@dangeroussummer) have announced that they’ll be dropping off their upcoming tour with Hit The Lights, until December 17th. Hit The Lights took to their facebook to discuss the situation, which can be read below.
We just got word that the Dangerous Summer will be dropping off our tour due to “reasons beyond their control". Apparently there was an inner band dispute in Chicago resulting in one of the members of TDS being kicked out of the band (or so we’re told). The band went home to regroup and as of last night, had offered to do the tour acoustically.
We were stoked that TDS were going to find a way to do the tour, and we offered various ways to help them continue the tour (AJ playing acoustic and riding with HTL, having some members of HTL fill in for TDS etc). We would still like to publicly offer AJ to come out and play acoustic TDS songs on the tour. You should email him and let him know that you’d like that too: [email protected]
Don’t worry, the tour is still happening and is going to be really special, and we look forward to seeing all of you out there!
Stay tuned for an update…
Following was also a link to a craigslist post for The Dangerous Summer’s tour van and trailer. Even with all of the speculation, according to a recent tweet from Cody Payne of TDS, the band has not kicked out any members.
Hit The Lights(@hitthelights) will be going out on their headlining tour in just a couple weeks! be sure to get your tickets NOW!
