FIRST SONG OFF THE “MAY” EP: Deceiver
This is my favorite song off the EP for this month.
Billy and I cowrote this song during most of March and April.
DECEIVER
While they were sleeping,
We both went walking through graveyard headstone slates,
Etching engravings,
Attaching faces to every single name.
And down the meadow,
The sun was blooming like blood does from a cut.
Casting our shadows,
We looked like spirits spread out across the lawn.
So if you’re just a dreamer,
Then I’ll be the realist, darling.
I’m a deceiver,
take you too far then let go.
Say you believe love,
But I’m a deceiver,
I’ll tie us together with tethers then cut the rope. You tell my fortune,
Trace every crease in my palm and kiss my hand.
Do you not notice?
My love line’s broke like an old wedding band.
So if you’re just a dreamer,
Then I’ll be the realist, darling.
I’m a deceiver,
take you too far then let go.
Say you believe love,
But I’m a deceiver,
I’ll tie us together with tethers then cut the rope.
Spinning like spiders,
You lace our fingers,
Binding us tighter.
And in the darkness,
I pull the stitches.
Unhook the hinges.
Unhook the hinges.
If you’re just a dreamer,
Then I’ll be the realist, darling.
I’m a deceiver,
take you too far then let go.
Say you believe love,
But I’m a deceiver,
I’ll tie us together with tethers then cut the rope.

“And if I could swim, I’d swim out to you in the ocean. Swim out to where you were floating, in the dark. And if I was blessed, I’d walk on the water you’re breathing to lend you some air for that heaving sunken chest.”

“Forever And Always”
She’s sitting at the table, the hours get later
He was supposed to be here
She’s sure he would have called
She waits a little longer, there’s no one in the driveway
No one’s said they’ve seen him
Why, is something wrong?
She looks back to the window
Suddenly the phone rings
A voice says something’s happened
That she should come right now
Her mind goes to December
She thinks of when he asked her
He bent down on his knees first
And he said
I want you forever, forever and always
Through the good and the bad and the ugly
We’ll grow old together
Forever and always
She pulls up to the entrance
She walks right to the front desk
They lead her down a million halls, a maze that’s never ending
They talk about what happened but she can barely hear them
She tries to keep a straight face as she walks into the room
She sits by his bedside, holds his hand too tight
They talk about the kids they’re gonna have and the good life
The house on the hillside, where they would stay
Stay there forever, forever and always
Through the good and the bad and the ugly
We’ll grow old together, and always remember
Whether rich or for poor or for better
We’ll still love each other, forever and always
Then she gets an idea and calls in the nurses
Brings up the chaplain and he says a couple verses
She borrows some rings from the couple next door
Everybody’s laughing as the tears fall on the floor
She looks into his eyes, and she says
I want you forever, forever and always
Through the good and the bad and the ugly
We’ll grow old together, and always remember
Whether happy or sad or whatever
We’ll still love each other, forever and always
Forever and always, forever and always
She finishes the vows but the beeps are getting too slow
His voice is almost too low
As he says, I love you forever, forever and always
Please just remember even if I’m not there
I’ll always love you, foreverishand always.Omg this song makes me tear :’(

what hurts more is i would still die for you.
I recently interviewed a good friend of mine and the mastermind behind I Want To Help You Band, Cory McCoy. You can read his interview below where Cory tells us how IWTHYB started, what it has to offer, and what we should expect to be seeing next!
_____________________________________________________________
Where did the idea of I Want To Help Your Band (IWTHYB) come from?
I Want To Help Your Band was kind of always there. I have always had the idea in one form or fashion. My first real attempt at IWTHYB would have to be the clothing company I ran for about a year and a half called Indie Out Loud. What I’m doing now is actually what that company was intended to be. The lack of experience and my young age didn’t allow the company to grow in the right way though so it fell apart rather quickly. IWTHYB has just always been what I have been aiming for and now I have it.
For those that haven’t checked out your site before, what does IWTHYB have to offer for musicians and bands alike?
We are setting our service up to aid bands in every aspect of their musical careers. We essentially want to be able to be there for musicians during every key stage of their development.
